The longest hiatus ever on here isn’t due to my losing interest in astronomy. It’s purely down to a new job, with different hours, and my weekends being busy. But that does at least mean I have more money, and to that end, I’ve splashed out on a ‘smart telescope’. One that does everything for you and it’s all on a screen and is the polar opposite of what I’m used to.
I’ve deliberated on this for a while, and I’m not expecting it this new device replace doing proper astronomy, (I consider looking through a telescope proper astronomy), I think it should be a fun way to get some astro-photos. I’ll put some pictures up in a bit.
The scope is the Seestar S50, by the way.
